Buying a Home

Real Estate Law ServicesFor most people, buying a home is a big decision involving the most significant transaction of their lives.

It’s important to take your time and decide what type of home best suits your budget and lifestyle. Your real estate agent will typically assist you in finding a home that meets your requirements, and guide you through the entire buying process.

When you find a home you wish to purchase, the process starts with an Offer to Purchase which will be signed and presented on your behalf. Your real estate agent will prepare the Offer and submit it on your behalf.

It is always best to have your lawyer independently review the offer on your behalf, before you sign it. If it is not possible to see a lawyer before making the Offer to Purchase, you can make the offer conditional on your lawyer’s approval. Consult an independent real estate lawyer before you sign, especially if you are buying a new home.
