Garry J. Wise was born in Toronto, and graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1984. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1986.
He founded WISE LAW OFFICE in 1986. Garry J. Wise is a lawyer and notary, and has completed advanced training in Family Law Mediation and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. His Toronto law practice focuses primarily in the areas of Employment Law, Family Law, Civil Litigation, Personal Injury litigation, Estate litigation and Small Business Consultation.
Garry J. Wise is a prior Chairman, Legal Affairs and Advocacy Committee, Big Sisters Association of Ontario, where he also served as a member of the Executive Committee for two years.
He is primary contributor to the award-winning Wise Law Blog, and is also developer of WiseLii, Canada’s Mobile Legal Research Tool, a free iPhone application enabling users to research Canadian case law, statutes and regulations via CanLii.
Garry has contributed to Bar-eX News, SlawTips, Huffington Post, CCH Labour & Law Newsletter, Canadian Bar Association’s Solo and Small Firm Addendum, Divorce Magazine and CCH Canadian Family Law Guide. He has been a Continuing Legal Education presenter on social media, legal ethics, Web 2.0 and security issues, and has been featured in the National Post, Toronto Star, LawPro Magazine, Lawyer’s Weekly, Canadian Lawyer Magazine, CCH Student E-Monthly and Toronto’s Now Magazine.
Simran graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2013. She articled with Wise Law Office and continued as an associate of the firm upon her call to the Ontario Bar in June 2014. Simran’s areas of practice include Employment Law, Civil Litigation, and Family Law.
Simran also holds an Honours Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance and International Business from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
Prior to joining the Wise Law Office, Simran worked at the Human Rights Legal Support Center and has volunteered at the Community Legal Aid Service Program, Pro Bono Students Canada, the World Sikh Organization, and the Bangalore-based non-profit organization, Concerned for Working Children.
Paul Adam joined Wise Law Office as an associate after his Call to the Bar in 2015. Before, he articled at a boutique litigation firm in Hamilton, Ontario.
Paul’s areas of practice include Civil Litigation, Wills & Estates, and Estate Litigation.
Paul is involved in the Jewish community, and can be found volunteering with Pro Bono Students Canada’s Wills project.
Shashi Raina articled at WISE LAW OFFICE and joined the firm as a lawyer and notary after his call to the Bar of Ontario in July, 2004. After five years as an associate with Wise Law, he opened his own firm in Mississauga in 2009. He continues to handle real estate transactions, incorporations and other matters on behalf of Wise Law’s clients.
Shashi is an independent associate of our firm and does not operate in partnership with Wise Law Office.
Shashi was born in India and was previously called to the Bar of India in 1987. In addition to English, Shashi speaks Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi. Shashi is available to meet with Wise Law clients at our Toronto offices or at his Mississauga location.

Rachel Spence, Law Clerk & Office Manager
Rachel joined Wise Law Office as a Legal Assistant in 2008 after completing the Court & Tribunal Agent/Paralegal Diploma programme at Durham College with Honours.
She became a Law Clerk with our office in 2011 and transitioned to Law Clerk and Office Manager in 2014 after completing a Management Fundamentals course at George Brown College.
She is a regular contributor to Wise Law Blog and an avid writer.
Rachel is a health enthusiast, whose interests include photography and travel.
Nina graduated the Law Clerk Program at Herzing College. She joined Wise Law Office as a Legal Assistant in 2015.
